M3 - 2008 Columbia Valley 50% Malbec 25% Mouvedre and 25%, and Merlot 25%
At first whiff, the scent of oak along with black fruit comes forward. The color comes from the Malbec with the taste of blackberries and herbs. The Mourvedre provides flavors of game, leather and truffles. Then comes the old battered warrior, Merlot, to the rescue with its soft, smooth texture. This wine should age well and will pair with a steak, prime rib or aged cheeses.
Merlot - 2008 Elephant Mountain, Columbia Valley
A medium bodied wine with hints of vanilla and spice from the Virginia Oak barrels. There is licorice, berry and plums on the palate together with an herbaceous flavor of green olives. The flavors are just starting to develop and will continue for the next two years.
Petit Verdot/Malbec—2007
It has a wonderful nose rich and full of aromas of black fruit, plumbs and tobacco with a hint of Vanilla. The wine is big and intense with plenty of blackberry, figs and plum notes. It is well balanced with good structure and big tannins, but leaves a remarkable elegant impression. It pares well with red meats and strong cheese. Could easily be one of your favorites.
Roadhouse Red - N.V. Columbia Valley, 25% Syrah 25% Mouvedre 25% Cinsault 25% Grenache
Soft and subtle with pretty range of blueberries and deep flavors of blackberry and spices, hinting at tobacco. Balanced tannins and nice acidity make it quaffable and cellar worthy. A graceful red!
Sangiovese—2008 Columbia Valley
Beautiful and aromatic with a nose of wild flowers accenting the ripe cherry cola and berry notes. Silky tannins lead to an aftertaste of spices, vanilla and lovely fruit.
Syrah – 2010
The cuttings of these grape vines are from the Tablas Creek clone which was originally brought directly from the northern Rhone region of France. The wine was co-fermented with a white grape, Marsanne, which is done in two appellations in the Rhone Velley, Hermitage and St. Joseph. We belive that we are the first winery in the state to co-ferment Syrah with Marsanne. The result is a wine with good tannic structure and acid. It is filled with dark fruit flavors, smoky bacon and green olives.
Third Renaissance —2009 Columbia Valley Blaufrankish 62%, Petit Verdot 31%, Tannat 7%
You will never find a blend like this in the whole world!!! The blaufrankisch was co-fermented with petit verdot and later blended with 12 gallons of Tannat. The nose explodes with blueberry aromas. A closer sniff reveals currants, ripe cherry, chocolate powder, and a hint of ripe raspberry. At first taste you are struck by a complex and exotic mouth feel.
Tempranillo—2010 Columbia Valley
The 2010 Tempranillo has a beautiful bouquet of violets on the nose amid layers of dark fruit, prunes, tobacco, and coffee on the velvety but firm finish. This tempranillo would pair very well with an array of grilled vegetables and luscious meats or game.
Ultimo - a bordeaux blend 2008 Columbia Valley
Offers blackberry and cassis on the nose with a whiff of Oak. Medium bodied, it exhibits plumb, dark dried fruit and cigar box flavors. Firm tannins and bright acidity with a long finish. Tight and well structured for the Vintage. Needs some time in the bottle. Best after 2012.
Constance Cuvee - 2011
Fermented in stainless steel, the aromas of honey greet you followed by Asian pear and kiwi fruit on the mid-palate; star fruit tastes of citrus and pear on the finish. It will provide a nice touch to a simple summer lunch or an elegant dinner.
Pinot Gris/Viognier - 2011
The two wines were co-fermented equally in stainless steel and left on the lees until bottling. Vibrant floral notes at the first entice you, followed by a taste of lemon curd and passion fruit. At our Greek dinner, it went great with the traditional lemon soup. The lemony flavors will match well with oysters on the shell.
Vin Rose - 2011
A great wine on a warm summer day on the patio. Made in the dry French style of Rose's. It is giner in color and has a combination of watermelon, wild strawberry and tart cherry on the palate; smooth acidity allows for unlimited food pairings; especially great for Thanksgiving.
